<li><strong><em>Why are the sphere and competency dropdown boxes different from a previously submitted Learning Plan?</em></strong>
<ul>
<li>As of September 28, 2021, CDR phased out the Goal Wizard and phased in the <a href="https://admin.cdrnet.org/vault/2459/web/CPB%20Video_Take%202_April%2015%202021.mp4" style="color:#0563c1; text-decoration:underline">Competency Plan Builder</a>. CDR credentialed practitioners now utilize the Builder when creating a new or when modifying an existing Learning Plan. It is <u>not required</u> that credentialed practitioners update the Learning Plan with the new Builder during a 5-year cycle. The Activity Log has been updated to include the new <a href="https://admin.cdrnet.org/vault/2459/web/New_CDR_Competencies_2021.pdf" style="color:#0563c1; text-decoration:underline">2020 – 2025 Essential Practice Competencies</a>. Practitioners now have access to <u>all</u> spheres and competencies when logging activities.</li>

<li><strong><em>Are the numbers from the 2015 - 2020 Essential Practice Competencies the same as the new 2020 – 2025 Essential Practice Competencies (for example, if performance indicator 8.3.6 is selected, should competency 8.3 also be selected)?</em></strong>

<li><strong>No</strong>, the performance indicators and competencies are different. Publication of the new 2020 – 2025 Essential Practice competencies can be <a href="https://admin.cdrnet.org/vault/2459/web/New_CDR_Competencies_2021.pdf" style="color:#0563c1; text-decoration:underline">found here</a>.<br />

<li><strong><em>How does the practitioner know what competency to select?</em></strong>

<li>Practitioners will select a competency from the dropdown list that describes the knowledge, skills and behaviors gained from activity completion. As of September 28, 2021, practitioners have access to all <a href="https://admin.cdrnet.org/vault/2459/web/New_CDR_Competencies_2021.pdf" style="color:#0563c1; text-decoration:underline">spheres and competencies</a> when logging activities, regardless of selected competencies on a plan.</li>
<li><strong><u>Please note</u></strong><u>:</u> There is not one right or wrong answer when selecting a competency. Practitioners will select the competency that best fits the outcome(s) of the CPEU activity.<br />

<li><strong><em>Do practitioners have to update activities previously logged with performance indicators to competencies?</em></strong>
<ul>
<li><strong>No</strong>, the update does not impact activities already logged during a current 5-year cycle. If a practitioner <u>edits</u> an activity, then it is required that a competency is selected.<br />

<li><strong><em>Can a practitioner select the same competency for more than one activity?</em></strong>
<ul>
<li><strong>Yes</strong>, a practitioner may use the competency as many times as appropriate when recording activities for CPEU credit.<br />

<li><strong><em>Does a practitioner have to update the Learning Plan if a competency is used that is not a part of the Plan?</em></strong>
<ul>
<li><strong>No</strong>, any sphere and competency may be selected from the dropdown list.<br />

<li><strong><em>Does a practitioner need to complete an activity for each Sphere/Competency on the Plan?</em></strong>
<ul>
<li><strong>No</strong>, it is not required to complete a CPEU activity for each Sphere or Competency on a Learning Plan.</li>
<li><strong><u>Please note:</u></strong> All CDR credentialed practitioners are required to complete at least one CPEU related to the <a href="https://www.cdrnet.org/ethics" style="color:#0563c1; text-decoration:underline">topic of ethics</a> during each 5-year cycle.</li>
