Attention Licensure Boards and Employers: CDR has developed a SOAP based web-service method for licensure boards and employers to verify credential status for credentialed practitioners. This web service requires your system to provide this web-based system credentialed practitioners' registration identification numbers, and in turn you will receive credential verification of all valid credentials for each individual - RDN, NDTR, Board Certified Specialist, RDN-AP. Once approved, your institution will be provided a unique ID and password to use this service. Please note that additional software development is required on your end to use service. Manual browser based requests are not supported by this service. Please contact Pearlie Johnson-Freeman at 800/877-1600, ext 4839 or at email@example.com if you wish to obtain additional information regarding this system verification process.
The on-line verification system serves as a primary source verification of credentials issued by the CDR. It is the responsibility of the user to confirm the correct identity of the individual whose credentials are being verified on this on-line system and to avoid confusion between two individuals with similar names. In cases in which a practitioner is using a credential that cannot be verified, and is thus engaged 'misuse' of a CDR issued credential, the user can e-mail CDR at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The CDR on-line verification system will provide credential information regarding status for the following credentials:
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD)
Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered (NDTR) or Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR)
Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP)

To search the on-line verification system, the user must enter the CDR registration identification number and the credentialed practitioner's primary state of residence. Although the CDR database may reflect both a primary and a secondary address, this system will only search the database using the primary address. the state of residence does not match the primary address in the database, you will receive a message indicating "the state does not match primary address." You must contact the CDR office at 1/800-877-1600 extension 5500, to resolve this issue before taking any action.
